I feel robbed more than twice, and I don’t think my feelings are too far from actual events, seriously. If Waves don’t trust in me just realize that my computer is always online and the plugins I paid for are registered but not activated by Waves and Waves know itĪnd that’s the reason why I feel so bad, because Waves grabbed my money and dismissed any responsibility (and worse, good faith principles in commerce) just by saying all sales are final, as if I want to resell your licenses because I cannot use them, I am legally allowed to resell the licenses, I must still pay Waves a very high percentage fee penalty based on “ regular price” of Waves products, not considering discounts, products which are always on-sale by up to 95% off discount, and I must pay Waves a fee higher than the price of the plugins that was not a so special price when they are always that price. (*) Waves refuses any kind of refund, even when my plugins are not activated, and I was not notified that I would need to run non-native code for using Waves v14 plugins (advertised as native). There are two ways of solving this without requiring refund:Īllowing Waves Central to install v14 native plugins without forcing you to run non-native code as pointed by SimonĪllowing “at least” installing the plugins without using Waves Central, but according to Waves Support there’s NO WAY at all for installing plugins without using Waves Central I paid for the v14 plugins, not for the installer, and the plugins were advertised as native, but I cannot even manually install the plugins unless I run non-native code, so it requires installing Rosetta, and as Waves explained, there’s no way to install the v14 plugins that do not require Rosetta.Īll Sales Are Final, so Waves still refuses to refund me or fix this problem, when there’s not even a Roadmap update besides the increasing subscription based services (SaaS), and I am not against subscriptions, but I cannot use v14 plugins without installing Rosetta, and it was not specified when I paid so much money. I don’t need Waves Central, I just need a way to install Waves v14 plugins without installing Rosetta so no other software stealthy runs non-native code (as Waves Central does). At least I bookmarked it for further review, as I was not even notified. There are still many plugins on my queue to be installed, free and wonder why this thread has been marked as Solved though it is not. I’ll update the list as I keep installing to give special credit to the ones that do not need Rosetta at all Still installing software after a clean/wipe of my computer I already installed this software without installing Rosetta at all: I didn’t ever consider returning my Mac Mini M1, because it pays itself overtime, so I in fact I bought it for free just by not using my previous system, because it uses less power than a flashlight and it’s powerful enough to do crazy things with sound and music, and I indeed returned other Apple products very much disappointing, expensive and not worth it IMO.īUT so far I didn’t need Rosetta (Intel-compatibility software) UNTIL installing WAVES plugins. So… I have a lot of money “parked” in a lot plugins (which I still do not need) and I will not use because I will not install them if I need to install Rosetta. I sincerely love how easy and smooth the Waves Central installer is, until I noticed I can use it for almost everything without Rosetta, except for installing Waves plugins (which turns out they do not need Rosetta). Just a note, nobody told me I MUST install Rosetta when I bought a lot of Waves plugins that didn’t need Rosetta as advertised, and the difference between “some components” vs “some plugins” is HUGE NOW, so it requires a much detailed description in any advertising that I did not get, even more if it is an ESSENTIAL “component” which you cannot avoid installing, a component that is required by Waves Central installer itself, a component that FORCES you to Install Rosetta if you want to be able to INSTALL plugins that do not need Rosetta. I am waiting for escalated response I should receive via eMail according to the Waves Support Agent. I can NOT install Waves Plugins without using Waves Central, so I MUST install Rosetta I MUST install Rosetta because “Waves Central components” (not Waves plugins) need it

We implemented much of the discovery from the new Tarmac's development, like different layup schedules and materials, and this culminated in a Venge that's not only lighter, but one that also has a higher stiffness-to-weight ratio and 40% more compliance than the ViAS - no matter the frame size. Much of this weight savings comes from our Rider-First Engineered™ tubes. So no matter the course, the Venge will prove to be the fastest option when you need to go up, down, and all around. This means we saved 240g in the frame, 25g in the fork, 107g in the cockpit, 25g in the seatpost, and 63g in small parts. So, not only did we make the Venge more aero than the ViAS, but we also took 460 grams out of the module weight. A bike that's strictly lightweight, however, will suffer on everything but the steepest climbs. A bike that's strictly aero will feel great on the flats, but it'll suffer on the climbs and in quick accelerations. Striking the perfect combination of weight and aerodynamics plays a crucial role in a bike's overall performance. It's also faster out on the road in all wind conditions - not just in the tunnel.Īnd while it's cool that the new Venge is more aero, there are other factors to fast. Armed with this library of shapes, all with different aspect ratios, we could plug them into the different parts of the bike and test a variety of configurations to determine the fastest setup in the Win Tunnel.Ĭompared to the fastest aero road bike to date (the Venge ViAS), and many others in the space that we won't name here, the new Venge is eight seconds faster over 40km at zero degrees of yaw. Our engineers wrote an optimization algorithm and utilized a supercomputer (yes, we used an actual supercomputer) to help create new airfoil shapes with different weights, surface areas, and structural targets. It started with a new piece of technology, the FreeFoil Shape Library. Surprisingly, our quest for the perfect tube shapes didn't start in the Win Tunnel. Being eight seconds faster than the ViAS, it's not only the most aerodynamic bike on the road, but it's also lost 460 grams. And this philosophy has never been truer than with the new Venge. Hell, why do you think we have our own Win Tunnel and the motto, "Aero is Everything?" We live and breathe aero, because we know that aerodynamic optimization is the best thing we can do to make you faster. What do the manufacturers say about it? How does that compare to your own feelings about the bike? Tell us what the bike is for and who it's aimed at. The aero road bike category has been an exciting one to watch this year, and there are a few contenders that I'd very much like to ride. > Buyer's Guide: The hottest aero road bikes of 2019 If it was my money, well I'd buy the slightly more affordable Ultegra Di2 model because it wouldn't take me as long to save up for it (though it would still take bloody ages) because it basically gets the same frame and handlebar with slightly different wheels, and enjoy the performance and the savings. If you're a fan of going fast and have deep pockets, you'll adore the S-Works Venge. But the speed, the handling, comfort, the ease of fit adjustment, the integration of the handlebar and internal cabling, the high-quality spec, not to mention the jaw-dropping looks, all create a stunning display of design and engineering. Finally, if you want to customize output video dimension or aspect ratio, you can use "Scaling" option, video dimension (width and height) must be divisible by 2, the supported aspect ratios include 4:3, 1:1, 16:10 and 16:9.īy using this small tool, you can easily decrease your video file size by yourself, it can help you to save disk space, and share video clips with your family and friends on the Internet, or view these videos on your mobile phones and other handheld devices. Secondly, by using "Cutting" options, you can choice a part of video, set a start time and an ending time, you can easily convert and compress a part of video. Firstly, you can change output audio bit rate, because audio content will occupy some file space, you can set a smaller bit rate to reduce file size, or simply set audio quality as "No Sound", then output file will only include video content (silent). The encoding video quality is based output file size, output file size is more bigger and resulting video quality is more higher and more clearer.įurthermore, in order to get a smaller result, software also supports some useful compression options. The generated video format is MP4 container format with H.264 video codec and AAC audio codec. (Bitrate information is displayed as KB/S, KB/S = kiloBits/second). This desired video size is approximate value, resulting file may be smaller or larger than this size, you can change this value as you need. After software open a source video, it will read and show key video information, such as: File Size, Bitrate, Duration, Video Format, Video Bitrate, Audio Format, Audio Bitrate and Video Dimension (Width / Height), then software will calculate an estimated output video size, that is "Desired Video Size". The basic usage is very simple, click on "Open" button to select a video file, then set a desired compressed video size, finally, click "Compress" button to start video compression.įirst of all, the most important option is "Desired Video Size". This software can work with many popular video formats, such as MP4 (MPEG4), MPG, AVI, FLV, F4V, M4V, WMV, MOV, MKV, ASF, RMVB (RM) and more.įreeware, clean and easy to use, free for personal and non-commercial use, get it from a file mirror. I would say that if you are going to think about picking up Scrawl to play with the family that you should be a little careful with the edition you get. None of that really matters though as what you inevitably end up doing is playing until you feel like stopping. Ostensibly there is a scoring system points are handed out to those whose final words or art most closely resembles the starting prompt and for the favourite drawing or words each player likes the most. Cries of ‘what’s that meant to be?’ and ‘you though this was what?’ resonate around the table. Each new reveal is accompanied by shock, laughter and people trying not to spit out their drink. With each card turned over your memories turn sour and dark as things inevitably take a turn for the worse. You’ll look at it fondly, remebering each line and stroke like it was only ten minutes ago. One by one you will turn over your stack of drawings and words, commencing with your original sketch. The real laughs come when your original work of art comes back round to its rightful home. “3 of the Spice Girls they are numbered” is a personal favourite. Drawing and interpreting is funny, frustrating and horrifying in equal measure as you try and decipher the scrawls, see what they did there, of the artistically challenged and sketch the words of those who have seen sights no one should see. They will look at you with a mixture….you get the idea. This new description now becomes the subject of drawing for the next person on your left. The ritual complete, they will put a new dry wipe sheet on top of your picture and write a description of what they have seen. They will curse your name and those of your family. Then at you with a mixture of disgust and confusion. The new owner of your work of art will look at it. Once done everyone passes their masterpiece to the person on the left. Every round each player gets a subject to draw. My regular group had grown in number and I was now seeking out games to potentially accommodate 7 players and I realised Scrawl fitted the bill as it would take up to 8 players and had a short play time. Whilst I had fun I’d kind of forgotten about it till this year. Originally released in 2016 I had first played Scrawl when Tabletop Cafe was still open in Edinburgh. Frankly it’s probably better if you can’t. This is a party game of Pictionary meets Telephone that requires absolutely no ability to draw. If you’ve listened to our Brainwaves Awards Show Special, you’ll know that I nominated Scrawl from Big Potato Games as my game of the year. These are the nasomaxillary, zygomatic, and pterygomaxillary buttresses 2 ( Fig. There are three vertical buttresses of the midface that provide the primary support in the vertical and anteroposterior (AP) directions. In addition, the attachments between the maxilla, zygoma, and cranium are through sutures that can readily separate. The weaknesses in the facial skeleton include the lack of complete incongruity between the base of the facial skeleton and cranium and the presence of numerous air-filled sinuses and passages with thin membranous walls. Their function is the transmission of forces to the cranium. The strengths include the maxillofacial buttresses, which are important in the structural support of the facial skeletal complex. There are a number of inherent structural strengths and weaknesses in the facial skeleton. In addition, focusing on certain anatomic landmarks will facilitate radiographic evaluation. In the presence of trauma, there will be alteration of the normal anatomy and symmetry therefore, a basic understanding and knowledge of the osseous structures of the maxillofacial region and of the basic biomechanical strengths and weaknesses of the facial skeleton are necessary. Maxillofacial Skeleton and Significance of Osseous Structures This chapter will review the role of diagnostic imaging in the evaluation of the patient with maxillofacial trauma, radiographic maxillofacial anatomy, and various imaging techniques. Although standard radiographs are still useful for assessing these injuries and their repair, especially during the intraoperative and early postoperative periods, computed tomography (CT) is widely and routinely used as initial or supplemental diagnostic imaging of facial trauma. Until the 1980s, diagnostic imaging of facial injuries consisted almost exclusively of standard facial and panoramic radiographs and, if available, tomographic studies. Although the basic treatment principles for the management of maxillofacial trauma remains unchanged, there have been significant advances in diagnostic techniques, thus improving postoperative clinical results and patient comfort and reducing morbidity. Knowledge of the bony and soft tissue anatomy of the craniofacial region and proper clinical and radiographic evaluation are paramount. One must also always maintain a high index of suspicion based on the mechanism of injury.Īccurate diagnosis is essential for the proper treatment of facial injuries and minimizing postoperative morbidity for the patient. Therefore, the treating clinical team must constantly be aware of the overall stability of the trauma patient and quickly diagnose and treat any threatening conditions. Although facial trauma alone is rarely life-threatening, associated injuries can be devastating to the precarious patient if not diagnosed early. Of all trauma patients, 25% sustain a facial injury. Maxillofacial trauma is becoming an increasingly prevalent part of the multiple trauma victim and can be extremely complex in nature. Unknown to them, the organization is being led by someone with whom they unknowingly share a relation to: Alan's original stick figure and The Chosen One's own predecessor, victim. The Second Coming and The Chosen One are both taken to the mysterious organization's headquarters where the former is locked up in a jail cell while the latter, still frozen, is placed inside of a white observation room while the scientists take the Pencil Icon to be tested. Unfortunately, The Second Coming seems to not remember his powers being awakened, but is taken back with him to the Outernet once again where he finds the mercenaries hunting for them, and upon seeing The Chosen One become further corrupted by their glitchy weapons, uses the Pencil Icon he borrowed from Alan to create drawings to fight back against the mercenaries, but they prove to be skilled enough to defeat these creations and The Second Coming is forced to face off with their leader, "Agent", who uses his technological skills to outmaneuver and capture both of them. Several years after The Dark Lord's defeat, The Chosen One returns to Alan's computer once again, but this time seeks The Second Coming's help after being weakened by a team of mercenaries with strange, glitch-powered weapons that are hunting him for an unknown organization. This beatdown and the intense emotional trauma of witnessing his friends' demise awoke something dormant within The Second Coming and allowed The Second Coming to access his hidden powers which allowed him to decimate The Dark Lord effortlessly and blast him away with a hyper-powerful green laser beam before using this power to unknowingly restore his friends' codes and returns with them to Alan's computer as they bid farewell to The Chosen One. Horrified to see his predecessor backed into a corner, The Second Coming rushed out to help him but was far too outclassed by The Dark Lord and could only witness Red, Blue, Green and Yellow be deleted one-by-one before being viscously beaten and slashed by the virus bands. Amazed by The Chosen One's powers and curious as to what brought him to their home, The Second Coming and friends followed him back to the Outernet where they witnessed him fight against The Dark Lord who used his enhanced virus powers and army of Virabots to overpower his nemesis. However, the attempts to delete him all failed, and in retribution for his friends' deletion, The Second Coming began destroying his social life, computer, and phone until the two came to an understanding after Alan revived his friends by refreshing their website.Īfter years of helping Alan to animate and playing with his friends, he and others were attacked by a virus sent forth by The Dark Lord to destroy Alan's computer but were saved by his predecessor, The Chosen One, who arrived in time to stop the ViraBot. However, they were then discovered by Alan, who began deleting them one by one to prevent the past from being repeated until only The Second Coming remained. Immediately following his creation, he entered the Stickfights website where he met his new friends, the Fighting Stick Figures, and instantly bonded with the four Internet stick figures. When grouped together with Green, Blue, Red and Yellow, the five of them are known as the Stick Gang.
